Hi, I'm Jack

I am an engineer/founder/startup dude. I've spent time building my own company, worked as an engineer in residence for Dogpatch Labs/NDRC, and I've lectured at the ISE at the University of Limerick. I currently don't work anywhere, but am on the lookout for something intense and hopefully meaningful. In the meantime, I'm doing side quests and writing small angel checks.

This site is largely so I have a place to put things I think, whether it be tools or longer writing. Also, of course, personal advertising too.

Thanks for visiting, if you think I'm cool, reach out. I'm open to work mainly in product and (not just software) engineering but also open to pretty much anything at early-stage companies.

    Immersive Software Engineering
    Lecturer | AWS Fellow

I’m currently a part-time lecturer in the Immersive Software Engineering (ISE) program at the University of Limerick. My role involves teaching hardware systems, computer architecture, 3D printing, and communication technologies. In addition to teaching, I engage in developing course material that bridges hands-on hardware experience with theoretical foundations. As an AWS Fellow, I just want students’ to have more exposure to modern tech stacks in real-world applications.

    Patch
    Managing Director

As Managing Director at Patch, I led the nonprofit accelerator program, helping young entrepreneurs develop their startups. I managed the expansion of the program to its largest cohort, secured international sponsorships, and organized global trips for the participants, bringing exposure to different entrepreneurial ecosystems. I worked closely with mentors, investors, and corporate partners to provide participants with the resources needed to turn their ideas into scalable ventures.
