I set up a new Mac rarely enough that I forget what I installed last time. Tick what you want and you get one script that installs Homebrew, then the lot; the link keeps your choices, so you can send it on.

Download .sh

Save it, then run bash mac-setup.sh in Terminal. Homebrew and some apps will ask for your password. It's safe to run again.
